CM1000 RCN Firmware
I am seeing some issues with my 1GB internet service from RCN recently. The only difference I see is that the ISP has upgraded the modem to v3.01.04 firmware. I did not see these concerns with the 2....

The question I am asking is which version of firmware should be on my RCN Modem? The one listed for "all other companies" on your web page (as copied above), or the one listed as the correct firmware version for "Comcast"? (please see prior comment for copy of online chart referenced)?
I rebooted modem and router again, and acheived a download speed of 350 for the gig service I subscribe to on the pc. After initial install I was seeing a steady 960 +. This is with the network cable connected directly to the pc.
I will repost modem specs again below post latest reboot.
I am asking which version of firmware is correct for RCN service?
Thank You

RCN does not specifically have a certification program. However, they are in our portal for FW distribution and they would have got same latest FW as Comcast. they can download the FW and push it to their customers. Can you please confirm they sent the correct modem config file when they pushed the new FW? if they have changed the config file to lower tier, it will provide you lower throughput.

yes, they have the latest firmware as noted on netgear specs posted above for comcast loaded on my modem.
What I am saying is that when the 2.xx.xx firmwareware was on my modem I got great speeds on my peripherals. Today I speed tested my IPAD on the 3.xx.xx and got a dl speed of ten. Yesterday this was @ 120. I did not see this type of inconsistency when the 2.xx.xx firmware that was on the modem previously. Iphone speeds are 1/3 of what they were post install
However, if both netgear and rcn are recommending the 3.xx.xx version of software, and there is no way I can test to see if the firmware is causing the issue, I will call them and see if I can rent an arris modem for a month to see if my speeds go back to what they were.
What I had needed to know was if they had the recommended firmware loaded, and it appears that they do.
Thank You for your help and patience.
