CM1000 slow Ethernet , faster WiFi - comcast 1 Gig

Hi,

I’m a Comcast customer, just bought the 1 Gig Internet, and bought a CM1000 and Google WiFi. I’m getting roughly 160 mbps down via Ethernet and 500 mbps down via WiFi. Comcast is at a complete loss as to why this is the case. I’ve done multiple factory resets . Using Cat 5 cable.

Any theories here would be great. Super frustrated

        Guide

The QOS setting will be on a menu inside you router. inside you router.  Where at really depends on the router model.
To upgrade your NIC Card Driver you'll need to get into windows device manager, find your network adapter  and either Auto update or manually update the driver.
        Hope this helps.

always verify it directly connected to CM1000 after a fresh power cycle to confirm you are getting close to a gigE performance.

what speeds do you see with your PC directly connected to modem?

is your PC/Laptop spec high-end and you are not using USB<>ETH adapters?

Please post connection table from the modem.
