CM1000V2 no sync
I bought a new CM1000V2 cable modem, it has the latest firmware V7.01.01. When my ISP activates the modem they tell me it's not syncing so I have not internet (no upstream signal). Every thing else is just fine, strong signal good cable connection. All of the lights on the modem are solid green, even the upstream light, but it does not blink. After many discussions with Netgear, they said to return it. But because I bought this from a "non authorized dealer" I am out of luck.
Has anyone had this problem and solved it?

What is the brand and model of the host wifi router connected to the modem?
Please post a copy and paste of the modems connection status page.
Have the ISP check the signal and line quality UP to the modem. Be sure the ISP provisions the modem correctly.
Be sure there are no coax cable line splitters in the between the modem and ISP service box.
Be sure your using good quality RG6 coax cable up to the modem.
Be sure to power OFF the modem for 1 minute then back ON.

Tests done by Comcast technicians both connected directly to pc and my Netgear R7000 router. Same result. Also tried resetting modem, it just will not sync. Because I did not purchase from an authorized dealer, Comcast can do no more.
