CM1100 has speed lower than my internet provider confirmed

Hello,
 
I just bought the modem. The internet went smoothly; however, the speed is much slower than expected.
My Xfinity provider confirmed with me that my download speed is 60 Mbps from their end. However, no matter how I tested (on both speedtest.com and http://speedtest.xfinity.com/), my speed is only about 18 Mbps.
Before renting their own modem to see if I have a better result, I still want to try if there is a way to fix it myself.

    Try a different test PC. If the ISP confirms speeds are good up to the modem then check your PC and or connected external router if you have one connected. Directly connect a wired PC to the modem with out the router and speed test there. Ensure LAN cabling is of good working quality. CAT6 is recommended.

      I tried with 2 different laptops, both wired and wireless. No different results.
      Should I try changing any settings?

        Nothing in the CM to set. LAG should be disabled is all. If you tested different PCs and such. I would presume the modem needs to be RMAd.
