CM1150V
BEWARE! The CM1150V is supposed to be a very good modem. It seems to be, but TECHNICAL SUPPORT IS HORRIBLE! I contacted support (Level 1), spoke with several technicians, spent over 10 hours with them, and NO RESULTS. Finally came down that the modem probably was defective. I would not recommend Netgear products, simply because of their customer service. so BEWARE if you buy a Netgear product.

What was initially wrong with it?

MAC address was identical for 2 different items (the CM1150V & some other modem), so the tech could not configure the modem.

Well that doesn't happen very often. I would return the unit from where you got it. I would mention that the modem should be returned to NG so they can correct any MAC address discrepancies they find.
