CM1200 has netgear and comcast pointing fingers with no end (solution) in sight
this started almost 3 weeks ago now, I have had the same modem (CM1200) connected in my house for almost a year. No issues, never skipped a beat. I havent changed anything in my setup. now i am having issues with connection on the CMTS and Upstream side of my modem. it goes through fits of working just fine, sometimes for hours, and sometimes for a few minutes before spiraling into a unusable mess. it dosnt always boot my mesh routers fully off of the connection, but i get stuck in a buffering hole that wont end until i reset the modem. Sometimes the modem has to be reset several times to lock onto all 4 of my upstream channels.
I had techs out a second time after contacting netgear and them insisting that my errors are ISP side and the modem was fine. Comcast replaced my drop line from pole, all the way inside my basement to my modem. there is 1 connector from their burried line, to the line he ran inside my house to the modem. my power levels look good, my SNR seems to be above the reccomended threshold. I am out of ideas. i have ordered a new 3.1DOCSIS modem from motorola since its now come up to me having to prove the CM1200 isnt the issue (maybe it is, electronics fail sometimes, i get it).
I will attach my error log niether netgear or Comcast had any interest in what this log said. nor did they ask for it, or think maybe this info could help find the problem.
Ill also attach my connection profiles i generally see, and one of the profiles i managed to clip when my upstream was failing to lock signal and only had 1 of the four channels locked in.
Your connection info looks pretty good (other than a few errors)
Your log indicates line issues.
Another option you have would be to rent a modem from xfinity because then they can't blame it on 3rd party devices.
Reason why sometimes a reset/reboot fixes it is the modem might be having issues with specific channels/ranges.
when it reboots/resets, it can use a different channel/range and be fine on that range. But when the cmts switches it, it causes issues.
