CM1200 New high MS

Hello all,

I am currently using a CM1200 modem and an Asus RT-5300 router. I haven't been at this house for a month yet and I have had issues with the Optimum services since I had initially had them installed. I had issues with the internet using my old CM500 when running ping tests there were time outs and ms spikes while gaming. The tech told me my modem was bad, so I replaced it. The same issues were still present after the change. A technician had replaced wiring from the line to the house, I also found splitters going into the attic so I quickly disassembled those leaving the only entry point being in the living room, where my gaming pc is. I am hard wired 5 feet away from the modem/router and cannot seem to have any luck. I have never experienced issues while being hardwired until I had moved here.

My equipment worked fine at my old house before the move. Currently, I upgraded from the 500 download mbps 35 upload mbps to the 1 gigabit download/50 upload mbps. I had configured my MAC address with the tech over the phone and got my upgraded internet last night. I was experiencing minimum 50 ms up to 400 ms spikes last night while gaming. I checked the modem logs this morning and was wondering if these are something to contact them about?

do you also have your cable connections page info?

If there was splitters in the attic, i'd try to connect right where the coax enters the home. I've seen older coax in homes cause issues

So here's a better explanation. telephone Line to house > Outside splitter that splits to attic/living room > Travels through the wall to the Inside splitter in my living room > My modem/router. The outside splitter had a cable going into the attic in which i disconnected everything in the attic, but I didn't remove that cable. Should I pursue removing that cable from the outside splitter?. Are you asking to disconnect the living room splitter and connect that cable directly to my modem? Thanks in advance. Cable connections page:

you've got low upstream and a bit of variation in the downstream.

I'd remove the outside splitter and just off the cable going to the living room. If its needed for cabler tv, just for the time being, don't use it. Just go cable----->modem.  with no splitters. See how it works and after using it for a bit, then rerun the logs and cable connections page. See how stable it stays.

Sorry, I also failed to state the wiring from the line to the house has been replaced as well.
