CM3000
I purchased a used CM3000 back in June from eBay. It has worked great for the last three months with my TP-Link Archer GE800 router. I just moved and had my Xfinity service transferred to my new address, setting everything up and activating it. However, for some reason, the modem's multi-gig light turns off whenever I use the Wi-Fi from my router. If I am hard-wired, it doesn't have an issue. Still, I have watched the modem's multi-gig light turn off and cause the router to lose connection as soon as I launch anything on my phone that requires Wi-Fi, for example, I have launched the speedtest by Ookla app, and I run a speedtest and instantly watch the speed jump, and then go to zero because the multi-gig light turns off. I work for Xfinity as a technician, so I have verified signal levels and confirmed that everything on the ISP side is functioning correctly. Has anyone else encountered or seen this issue?

My router is also set to IPv6 provisioning only, not dual IPv4 and IPv6. Could that potentially be causing issues?

Is there a reason to disable IPv4?

Seems like someting on the WiFi Router should be looked at.
WiFi would not effect anything on the CM modem. It's just a modem, no wifi services here and only passes thru internet traffic, IPv4 and IPv6, which can't be disabled by the modem itself. Only the WiFi router controls IPv4 and IPv6.
Try disabling IPv6 on the router and see if this changes behavior.
Make contact with the ISP and the wifi router mfr for additonal help and support regarding configurations on the router and service issues with the ISP. CC/XF is known for having add issues with IPv6 as well.

But that’s the thing I have used a different modem and tested the theory and everything worked fine. It was an Xfinity issued modem/router combo their xb7. If that one is being used as the modem the WiFi never kicks off and don’t have speed issues, even if I put it into bridge mode it still works fine with my router. As soon as I disconnect and start using the cm3000 again I start getting the WiFi issue. I have even factory reset both cm and router and set everything up from scratch and I’ve always had IPv6 disabled from the get go and nothing has improved. Only if I use a different modem so that’s why I’m thinking it’s a modem not. Router issue which also is hard to understand because like you said modems don’t control WiFi only routers do.
