CM500 - Max 270 mbps download speed ? 16x = 8x?
RCN offered a free upgrade to 330mbps and I had an 8x channel modem before. So, I bought the CM500 believing it could get x16 down and the total 330 mbps, however, according to RCN, it only uses the x8 - "it picks the best of the channels and only use x8 and also you don't get 41 Mbps, but more like 26-20 Mbps per channel". Errr..... Sooo they are saying that even though I have a 330 Mbps they are saying I need an x24 channel modem. Basically, it tops out at ~270 Mbps over cable. I believe it said the theoretical speed should be over 600 mbps. Is RCN rambling or is there something about it?
you cannot fix it. Basically RCN has deployed only 8 channels in your area. So you will see only 8 channels.

Please provide connection table from the GUI.
It will show how many channels are bonded.
I believe this is what you are looking for. I only see 8 down and 4 up..?
So... RCN is right that this 16x router only uses 8x?
Can I fix this?
