CM700/R7000 combo slower speeds then with spectrum modem/R7000

purchased new CM700 to replace old rented spectrum ARRIS DG1670, nothing was changed on ISP end (called and checked) nothing has been moved just a switch out. 2.4 in the house is getting what it was but the 5G is getting 100-125 mps less then with the ARRIS modem. I called the 90day support line only to be told to send back my modemn its probably bed...really?? Couldnt it just be a handshake issue / or compatibility issue between the modem/router that I cant figure...that are both netgear?

all firmware of everything coonect in the house is up to date

After changing modems, did you reset the R7000? its always a good idea to reset whenever you're changing out equipment. it'll cause the least errors and problems. other question is did you test the speeds over ethernet connection? Wifi speeds can change/be variable based upon environment. it could have been someone else added something in your area around the same time to create interference.

yes the main computer wired in gets greet speeds 250-275mps, eveything else in the house (blu-ray players, roku's, 3ds etc) all are getting the speeds they did,  the NEW 4K tv, my phone and my pc are the only things on the 5G network. YES i reset R7000 router back to factory when installing new modem. wired in is good, 2.4 is good 5G i'm getting 50-55mps when I use to get 150-175mps.

Is FW up to date? I've heard others report having some issues with FW versions on the R7000. Might check the NightHawk forums for users having issues with the R7000 and wifi speeds on 5Ghz. If your getting to spec speeds on wired and 2.4Ghz, then your modem is fine. The R7000 needs to be looked at.

Might give Voxels 3rd party FW a try as well.
