Correct setting for "Disable port scan and dos protection" in C3700

Hi Expert,

What should be the correct setting for "Disable port scan and dos protection" from

Advanced>WPS Wizard>Setup>WAN Setup

After I did a factor reset, The box is checked in "Disable port scan and dos protection".

I see from Log all the time that have these entries:

[DoS attack: Teardrop or derivative] from 139.12.155.0, port 0 2
[DoS attack: Ping Of Death] from 139.12.155.0, port 0 2

Should I un-check the "Disable port scan and dos protection"?
My device is Netgear C3700 Cable Modem Router with WiFi
Thanks for your help.

Frank
