"Does not support Remote Access"

I have enabled remote management on the router (C7000-100NAS): Https, port 8443

But on the android genie app I get a "Does not support Remote Access" when I attempt to enable remote access on my Motorola E4.

Is this a limitation of the phone?

Or is there some other setting I need to enable on the router for this to work?

Thanks,

Biz

This lets you use a web browser to access the router's management web
    interface.

       That's not a web browser.

Is the C7000 router compatible with the "android genie app"?
    Apparently not.

Not if the C7000 router is not compatible with the "android genie
    app".

No.  You need an app and a router which are compatible.  Or, you
might be able to use a web browser on the phone to access the router's
    management web interface.

Does anyone know if the Netgear Genie android app is supposed to control remote access for the C7000?

       More details:

On my Moto E4 phone I am using the android Netgear Genie app: version 3.1.36

My C7000 router firmware is: V1.01.23

The app does allow me to monitor and control nearly all other functions listed in the app when I am at home at my phone is connected to router via wifi.

It is the remote access feature that I can't get to work.

I also notice that the app will not let me register the router, get "registered failed" message.

Beyond that the app works fine.

Is there a tutorial somewhere that provides step-by-step instructions for using remote access via android Genie app?

Specifically the problem I having is as follows:

In the android Genie app, I see two ways to enable the remote access feature.

      1) From the main menu (blue & white screen) /remote access icon I get ot a screen with a "remote access" slider.  When I attempt to slide the button to enable remote access, I get the mesage: "Does not support Remote Access"

      2) From another menu (tap on my account name, get to the 3 lines menu, (black & white screen text screen) there is a "remote access" option, that leads to a Netegar sign in screen.  That leads to another screen and I am asked to select the router, but the C7000 is not listed (nor is anything listed) in the Device list.

      So two dead ends.

Buttom line: It isn't clear to me if there additional setup steps I need to do to fully enable remote access or if the android Genie app isn't compatible with C7000 router.

      Any suggestions?

Apparently, the C7000 is one of the supported models.  (What do I
know?)  Whether all the features work properly may be a different
        question.

If you're in the warranty support window, a formal support request
        might be worth a try.
