Dynamic IP Address Not Being Assigned
Discussion Room:
I have a Netgear N600 Wifi Cable Modem Router (Model# C3700). During setup I go to the Advanced Settings and proceed to "Internel Setup" to configure my Internal IP Address and after choosing "Get Dynamically from ISP" I then try to save my settings with clicking "Apply." However, the following occurs:
1. The "Get Dynacially from ISP" selection remain select; HOWEVER
2. The "Use Static Address" information gets populated with IP Address, IP Subnet Mask, and Gateway IP Address information. In addition, my machine maintains this same IP information and therefore I keep being assigned the same IP Address.
3. So the problem is that I can't get my router configured so that its choosing a randomly assigned IP Address.
Help, what should I do and or what is the problem?
Thanks,
Elle

Hello Ellejcobb
You may want to contact your ISP and see if they can refresh the modem so it assigns a new IP.
