According to the website, I have to contact my ISP to upgrade my firmware on my modem, but my ISP says that the manufacture sends out updates to them and it will eventually be updated. My only issue...

You will have to contact the ISP again and ask for there L3 or higher up tech support as they will be able to help with those type of issues.
