firmware upgrade corrupt files wndr4300v2 V1 files ok but not usable.

The firmware updates , both the released and beta, are corrupt. Nowhere I could find to report to netgear without paying for customer support. no contact information like phone numbers or chat.

"use" _how_?  What was the actual message?  Copy+paste is your
friend.  See "Note that attempting to "open" [...]", above.

       Seldom a wise course.

       Did you?

_Which_ "The firmware updates"?  Obtained where?  How, exactly, did
    you detect this corruption?

None of this is a useful problem description.  It does not say what
you did.  It does not say what happened when you did it.  As usual,
showing actual actions (commands) with their actual results (error
messages, LED indicators, ...) can be more helpful than vague
    descriptions or interpretations.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads.  (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".)  Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want.  Read the "Release Notes" file for
    instructions.

Note that attempting to "open" a firmware image file using your
computer operating system (instead of following the instructions in the
Release Notes file or User Manual for your device) can be expected to
fail with a misleading error message.

And there's an approprate forum for your not-a-"Cable Modems &
    Routers" device:

The firmware update was the latest one on the netgear support website for my router model 1.0.0.60 and is 2 numbers higher than the current firmware on my router 1.0.0.56. The netgear support website is the origin of the update and when I attempt to use the file a message appears indicating the file to be corrupt. I am sorry but I assumed that the statements made on a netgear site would infere the site was used as an origin and that the latest released firmware revision would be selected. 1.0.0.60 (beta) was not chosen since it is beta. I am using windows 10 x64. using the firmware update on the router indicates no updates are available.
