Hello i'm having issues with my Antivirus its saying my Netgear D6220 is insecure on HTTP how do i go about fixing this i've checked through the settings and i cannot find a way to fix it..
Is it even possible without an update? I've not seen any updates in about 3 months since i purchased it.
Firmware Version
V1.0.0.52_1.0.52I see all i'll get here is condecending attitude.. Thats fine i understand you believe this to be nothing but i for one do not.. And i'm glad useless idiots like you are here to be smart asses to customers.
Netgear lost a customer today forever thanks to a scumbag with no training.. Good luck i hope this company fails i will tell whoever i can never to buy this trash.
Good luck good bye.

You don't. You could ignore it.

Ignore a potantial exploit into my system seems not smart and there has been no firmware updates for my modem since i purchased it.. i'm using the latest..
Its ok this will be the last netgear i ever buy, the software is poor and the support is non existent.. Obviously netgear takes security very lightly, poor company all round.

As always, an actual version number would be more useful than your
opinion of what's "the latest" today.> Ignore a potantial exploit into my system seems not smart [...]
It's not "a potantial exploit into [your] system"; it's another
(potential) vulnerability if your system is already seriously
compromised. As it says in that cited thread, "If someone can
overlisten to that traffic, then you're already in big trouble."> [...] Obviously netgear takes security very lightly, [...]
Or, at least, it pays little attention to problems like this, which
present miniscule actual threats, but do disturb many users.
