Making use of a router after a move

OK, I bought the C6300 router when I moved into my house and it worked and did the job fine. Now I've moved to a condo where internet is supplied, so while I no longer need all of the functionality of the device, I WOULD like to leverage the WiFi and the Hub/Switch components. I was told this is capable of being done, and know it's doable (actually pretty easily) with other, similar devices. Anyone know the specifics?

Specifically, with other WiFi routers (I'm most familiar with LinkSys), when you connect a SECOND one to the same network, basically just DON'T use the Internet port and turn off DHCP serving. That's it and it works like a charm. How would I do effectively the same thing with this NetGear box?

Thanks in advance. If I didn't explain something well enough, let me know.

With no exposed WAN/Internet port, it's not much use as a normal
router, but that much should be possible.  One attempt at step-by-step:

Pretty much the same way way as with anyone else's router?

Thanks! I'll give that a try when I can (over the weekend). That's along the lines of what I was trying last night, but not being super-familiar with the NetGear "gear", I was mostly just snooping. I'll report back after I give it a whirl ...
