My modem, Netgear CM500 isn't giving the correct speeds.
Hi everyone, so recently I purchased a CM500 for my internet plan for optimum. I was getting a little 300 download and 30 upload. Ever since I switched a couple days ago my speeds have been just awful ranging from 10-25 mbps download and 1 upload. I called my ISP and they said that it didnt seem to be anything on thier side. I really dont know what the issue is, some help would be really appreciated. I have the 300 optimum plan by the way if that matters, I know this modem is capable of 300 mbps download as I read before i bought it.

Are you speed testing with a wired PC directly connected to the CM modem or is there a wifi router in between the modem and your PC?

There is a wifi router between the modem, and I am running wired as well.
