NETGEAR C7000 Modem / Router Reset Itself to Factory Defaults
Hi All,
While we all were away our modem setting got reset to factory default settings, which is driving us crazy because we know and we were told that the only way to have the modem reset to factory settings would be by pressing the reset button while using a sharp object like a tip of pen or a paper clip.
So, then that means that while we were away someone was in our home pressing the button? Kinda crazy...
Does anyone know if the modem can reset itself and did it ever happen to anyone? And under what kind of circumstances?
We had an outstanding call to our provider because we have experienced some issues with connectivity. Apparently some work by them was done and internet issues were fixed but they did not have any physical access to the modem. They said they have no other way to reset it to defaults on their end.
...any ideas? Thank you!!!
