Netgear Genie will not work on my new Windows 10 machine

To Whom

 

I just got a new laoptop computer with windows 10 and Netgear Genie will not open, it does a short search and then wants to shut down the Genie.

My new laptop has window 10 has Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.

The Netgear is a N600 WiFI Cable Modem Router (C3700) [as listed on the box it came in].

 

I bewelieve I have downloaded the latest Netgear Genie for my laptop. It does allow me acfcess to the internet and/or sites I choose.

 

Really could use some help.

    Hello cajun65

     

    Have you tried to open the genie software as administrator? also may want to reinstall it.

      I am having the same problem and I have reinstalled the software numerous times but still have the problem where the program does not want to start.  I'm assuming this is due to compatibility issues.  Please help.

        I had the same situation following Windows 10 install.  I went to Netgear to find the latest Genie install, downloaded, and installed.  Seems good as before when I was on Windows 8.1.  Hope that helps you.
