Netgear nighthawk c7100v cable modem router name and password change

Question

I have a connection and ive activated it twice but everytime i go in ti change the name of the wi-fi and password, it says it has a “configuration error the router could not apply my new settings. Check wifi connections and try again.” I check and my wifi is working but i cant change the name or password? Please help.

Please help.How are you trying to change the Wi-Fi configuration?&nbsp; Are you using a mobile device like a phone or a tablet?&nbsp;If yes, you need to change to a real computer with a web browser and connect to the C7100v via an Ethernet cable.&nbsp; If not possible with an Ethernet cable, a connection via Wi-Fi should work.&nbsp;&nbsp;

My modem is connected via ethernet cable and yes im trying to change it on my phone
