Nighthawk C7100v internet drops

Greetings-
I bought the C7100v nighthawk using Xfinity internet, from the recommendation of a friend and it worked great for a few months. After 3 months it started to have a deteriorating issue with dropping internet. The internet light would go blank and made me think it was an Xfinity issue. I had a technician come out and test the line- he reported no problems. I have never had an issue with the Xfinity modems and sent back the nighthawk for replacement, during this time has no issues with the Xfinity modem I used as a temporary fix. When I received my new nighthawk modem it worked well for about a month but then had the same exact issue. The firmware on the modem is V2.01.37 which is listed as the most up to date. I have seen similar articles to my issue, but no solutions. Even though it says it’s meant for use with Xfinity(Comcast) does this modem not have compatibility with my service? Do I need to return it?

    comcast technicians aren't always the best.

    If you can upload your connections page from the modem connections as well as the logs that might help. This will tell us basically the connection coming in to the come and the connection back to the cmts server. Its just a snap shot but does help with troubleshooting. To much power can wreck a modem and to little can make the modem part unstable.

    Are you seeing wired and wireless problems? 

     

    What channels are you using? Auto? Try setting manual channel 1, 6 or 11 on 2.4Ghz and any unused channel on 5Ghz.
    Any Wifi Neighbors near by? If so, how many?
    What WPA security modes are you using?

      No devices in the house are losing their WiFi connections- it’s just internet. My computer is connected directly to the modem with a cat5 cable and losses internet with the rest of the equipment in the house. Working on procuring logs now
