Nighthawk C7800 X4S cable modem router combo
How do you turn off the router portion of this combo?
This router does not provide parental controls, which we need. In order to gain parental controls we were advised by netgear IT, to purchase a compatible router R8000P, which will provide control options. We cannot get past turning off the old router to setup the new and IT was triped up themselves and is having to research and call us back. Help please!

We tried this and do not have "router mode" under advanced then administration.
click the administration tab on the left and not the advanced setup tab you hit.
Under Advanced tab/Administration/Router mode
With in the menu option there will be YES or NO. Select NO. This will cause the modem to reboot in to a modem only mode, disabling the router portion of the modem. Have your external Wifi router connected by it's WAN port to LAN port #1 on the back of the modem.
