Should the cm2500 cable modem have the aggegatre port enabled or disabled in th administration page? I'm using only one ethernet port to my router.
If you don't have a LAG enabled wifi router connected or are using LAG, then that feature should be disabled.

what router do you have?
the link aggregation lets you go above the 1 gig limit of the ports.
