Remove redirection to accounts.netgear.com
Recently my router got firmaware update and now when I try to login it first tries to connect to accounts.netgear.com and then redirects from there back to my local router address. Not talking about bad cyber hygiene and vulnerability of this practice, I have another problem with it. When my internet connection is bad or broken, but the cable is still connected, I cannot connect to the router at all. It tries to connect to accounts.netgear.com first, obviously it fails and I get no access to my router interface at all. So, I cannot reboot cable to restore connection from the control interface. The only solution is to unplug the cable or restart the router PHYSICALLY. How could I solve that? How can I return to local authentification? I could not find any configuration page. I can try to downgrade the firmware or play with /etc/host, but the must be some civilized way to solve this problem. And of course, if there is no such solution I will never consider bying netgear products again.

Clearly a bug or at least a very careless implementation.

For a C6220, as listed in your "footer", that firmware update will have come from your ISP. Neither you nor Netgear has any control over firmware updates.
You should let the ISP know that it has released what might be dodgy firmware.
Have you tried a factory reset on your C6220?
If you really want to take this further, might you do better to post your message in the appropriate section. You have posted your message in the section of this community given over to General WiFi Routers (Non-Nighthawk). (This is easily done, given Netgear's complicated community structure.)
Many questions apply to different types of device, so there may be useful responses here, but you might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

Yes, I tried. It changes nothing

I didn't know that. Thank you for this information. I just noticed, that a few months ago the modem interface changed, it forced me to change login credentials and now it always tries to call an URL like that:
https://accounts.netgear.com/serial?redirectUrl=http://192.168.0.1/sso.cgi&serial_num=xxxxxxxxxxx
My current firmware version is V1.02.11. I wonder why my ISP would force my router to connect to Netgear, every time I login.
Anyway I'm planning to try another ISP soon, so we'll see if anything changes

I didn't know that.
Gory details here:
If your firmware is outdated, you cannot manually upgrade your cable modem’s or modem router’s firmware. You must contact your Internet service provider (ISP) to upgrade your firmware.
