Dec 20, 2016Router not being 'recognised'
I received a Netgear C6300BD router from my ISP in August of this year. On a laptop I run Bitdefender 2017 AV and when I do a 'vulnerability scan' it provides a warning..."Router : Password strength...

Make the router as an exception to the warning message. You must have an option on Avast or Bitdefender for this.
When message comes up, 'Yes I know but make this deive an exception' type answer.

Dec 20, 2016Hi VE6CGX,
If I'm correct you're asking me to turn off the 'Vulnerability Scan' setting which applies to wifi 'things' that includes the router? I have done this, ran the scan, and get no error message dealing with the router.

Sorry, as the 'Vulnerability Scan' provides me with a 'You have no vulnerabilities' message when it doesn't include the router in it's scan can I therefore assume that there IS a setting or hardware problem with the router?.....which would be a touch annoying as I've only had it since August.
