Router reset and now shows factory network names and passwords

C7000v2 Router reset and now shows factory network names and passwords

I came home and noticed my internet was out. I expected it was a Cox issue. An hour later, and after all the fixes from the Cox rep. didn't work they determined it was likely a setting on my router. I plugged in to the admin area of the router and noticed the network names  for 2 and 5 G had switched back to Netgear75 wireless network name and passwords.  I've had this router for one year and this has never happened.  What would prompt the router to do this?

Anyone have access to the modem and possibly hit the reset button in back? This would be the only reason. Or if they got into the modems UI and did a factory reset here.

      Thanks for the reply.

No one has access to the router except me -- and no one had access in the two hour window that I was gone before I noticed the problem. Wondering if a power surge could cause this?

        It shouldn't.

You might try this. Set up the SSID and PW again. Get the modem set up as you like. Do a save configuration to file.

Simulate a power outage by pulling the power cord from the wall out let, leave off for 30 seconds to 1 minute. Plug back in. Check the SSIDs. If they revert back to default values, I recommend contact NG about this.
