setting gateway/wireless router to modem only
tried setting up c3700 as modem only, then connected new/faster wireless router to jack, but the WAN light on the router does not light up. I could not even connected to the c3700 with a wired connection on either network jack. So it looks like it was not happy with switching to modem only. The WAN light WAS light on the c3700 so it looks like it had internet connection. Any ideas of how to get the c3700 to configure properly?
The Netgear site has no info & there is nothing stating any special requirements in the set-up manual, other than clicking the Modem mode & then ACCEPT.

You may want to remove the coax connection try to set the it to modem only and then reconnect the coax see if that fixes the issue.
