setting up Router R7000

Could not connect with my wifi so Bell suggested I get a router.  Now nothing works.  During setup procedure it asked for the SSID and password for both 2.4 GHz and the 5 GHz.  I mistakenly entered my Bell network SSID and passwords instead of the ones on the Netgear Router,  The router came with literally no instructions. I spoke for a long time with tech support at Netgear and they have no clue how to change it.  They told me to send it back to Amazon.  Now when I try to connect devices to my wifi this Netgear page keeps popping up and I can connect nothing.  The router is disconnected and in its box ready to go back.  How do I fix this mess?

"Could not connect" _what_ "with my wifi"?  "Could not" is not a
useful problem description.  It does not say what you did. It does not
say what happened when you did it.  As usual, showing actual actions
(commands) with their actual results (error messages, LED indicators,
...) can be more helpful than vague descriptions or interpretations.

    > [...] Bell suggested [...]

Some company with "Bell" in its name is your ISP?

    > [...] I get a router. [...]

What were you using before?  What, exactly, was wrong with it?

    > [...] Now nothing works.

See "not a useful problem description [...]", above.

    > [...] During setup procedure it asked [...]

"it" being the R7000, or what?

You should be able to configure the wireless-network SSID and
passphrase on the R7000 to any values you'd like, including the values
which you were using on some other wireless router.  Keeping the old
values is probably a good idea, rather than a mistake.

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual.  Read.  Beyond the basic set-up
material, look for the LED descriptions and "Troubleshoot".  There
should also be an Installation Guide there.

"it"?  The R7000 User Manual explains how to set the wireless-network
    SSID(s) and passphrase(s).

    > [...] Now when I try to connect devices to my wifi this Netgear page

_Which_ "devices"?  _Which_ "this Netgear page"?  You do realize that
you're dealing with non-psychics who can't see what you're seeing,
    right?

Do you expect it to work if it's in its box?

    > bear in mind I am a 66 year old woman

You can read, though, right?  If you expect to get help from people
who are not in the room with you, then you may need to supply some basic
information about your ISP, your equipment (old and new), how it's
connected, what you're doing, what happens when you do it, and so on.

If the material in the R7000 User Manual doesn't help, then you might
want to investigate local resources, rather than trying to get help
    here.

You're welcome.  And my thanks to you for your thoughtful (and
eloquently expressed) response.  Sadly, it fails to provide any of the
requested information which was missing from your original problem
(non-)description, making provision of further assistance difficult.

Next time, please post about this here for your model router:

    Good Luck.
