Turning Off DCHP
My ISP is Cox Communications i have a Netgear C6300BD Modem i would like to turn off DCHP on my modem but evey time i do so it keeps getting this message "If this service is disabled and no othe...

Why? Is there some actual problem which you are trying to solve?
Strictly speaking, a C6300 is a modem+router. The DHCP server is a
function of the router part, not the modem part.

It would depend on the specific device.

Which makes it that much more important to have a good reason to do
something like disabling your only DHCP server.
I was experimenting with the router and when i activated bridge mode it had DCHP off and port forwarding worked
