Understanding how CAX80 works

Question

I have this with xfinity internet.&nbsp; I have the two wifi networks set up, 2.4 &amp; 5.&nbsp; The router/modem is in one end of the house.&nbsp; I can get a wifi signal on my TV in my bedroom through ROKU that is loaded on the TV.&nbsp; Roku signal meter says the connection is excellent.&nbsp; Works OK&lt; Netflix speed is very low, but works.&nbsp;Problem is the Roku can't find or connect with the 5.0 wifi signal.&nbsp; I don't understand why it can find one signal from the router, but not the other faster signal?&nbsp;Appreciate any help.&nbsp;Brian

5 ghz has shorter range than 2.4 ghz.

But I suspect the problem is that your Roku doesn't support 5 ghz.&nbsp; Several models are 2.4 ghz only.&nbsp; So look up the data sheet on the model you have.

Some kind of Roku TV with either "Roku built in" or "Made by Roku"? Search accordingly for the related Roku Smart TV data sheet as StephenB​ already suggested.

Low according to what - the built-in test on some Roku devices or TVs? Netflix recommends for high definition (HD) @720p 3 Mbps or higher,&nbsp; full high definition (FHD) @1080p 5 Mbps or higher, ultra high definition (UHD) @4K 15 Mbps or higher.&nbsp;

This is far less than what average 2.4 GHz WiFi can achieve...

If you are using a Roku streamer (as opposed to the Roku app on a smart TV), then there are several models that are 2.4 ghz only.&nbsp; These are generally ones that only support 1080p (not 4K).&nbsp; Roku LE, Roku Express models below 3960, Roku Premiere 3290.&nbsp; And other older models.

According to&nbsp; the test on the Roku app that came with the TV the connection is good, but the speed is 6.54&nbsp; thanks brian
