Unknown Wired device
I've seen other similar posts, but mine is different in several aspects. Had Comcast come out as my desktop hard-wired to the router was getting speeds of only 150Mbps where my plan was up to 800. After changing cables, resetting my network settings, checking for updates, factory resetting my original CAX30, even getting a replacement CAX30 from Best Buy, still had the same issue: speed would go up to normal for a little bit and then it'd fall back down to the 100-150 range, sometimes after several minutes. So, Comcast comes out and replaces my coax connectors (they were apparently old), and then goes to the external box and removed a filter someone had placed previously. Now, my internet is back up and running up at speed again, but Armor warned me of a new "wired" device connected to my router. I check the MAC and it's some sort of Hitron router in Taiwan (I'm in California). I blocked the device, but it still shows up as a blocked item. Any ideas as to what might be going on? I don't even know if contacting Comcast would do anything, but am curious if it could be because of what he did at the box. Any insight appreciated. Thanks!

Does anything for this device appear on the CAX web page under connected devices?
What happens if you disable Armor temporarily on the NH app and reboot the CAX30?

Hi, here's what i can see:
I'm on firmware ver 2.2.2.2
Searching the MAC shows it as from Taiwan. The IP it's showing is 192.168.1.10. It no longer shows up as a connected device (after blocking it via the app), and it does not show up in router control within the "Attached Device" tab.
Event log:
The only thing I didn't want to do right now was to reset my router as I'm trying to test to see whether the technician's "fix" sticks this time. My previous issue was that the normal speed (~600Mbps) wasn't sticking long term and was getting throttled back down to 100 very soon after. So I'm still monitoring that for now and didn't want to mess with things just yet, but I can do that later tonight if it holds. Thanks!

Hi there, here are my responses:
- Firmware ver 2.2.2.2
- Wired device had an IP of 192.168.1.10, MAC traced back to Taiwan as a Hitron router
From access control:
After I blocked it, it doesn't show up as a connected device for me on the NIghthawk App anymore.
Event log:
I'm gonna hold off on restarting my router b/c my issue was that my speed was throttling down from 600 to 100Mbps, sometimes after only a few minutes of restarting my router. So, the Comcast guy just came and updated my coax and removed the filter so i want to leave it alone to monitor to see if it drops again. But can do it tonight if it holds. Thanks!
