I received an e-Mail that looked like it came from NetGear I got thru a support process that looks like Netgear and was told $89.00 to get my router fixed.

With my weak psychic powers, I can't see your e-mail message.

I don't know what this "a support process" was, or how it looked.

That might sound authentic.

Given all the information which you have supplied (that is, none),
what, exactly, do you expect anyone here to tell you?- DarrenMSr. NETGEAR Moderator
Hello RickoJC
Netgear would only send a email about a security alert and would tell you to visit the community of contact netgear support they would never ask for money in a email or ask for personal info.
Thanks
