Will not give signal or ip address to N1 router
Hello, New user here on the forums 1st post, been using Netgear products for over 20 years maybe. First issue I have ever had with Netgear Products.
Let me start by saying: The CM1000 Modem is working and is activated with my ISP.
The router works fine with my ARRIS SBG6850 DOCSIS3.0 Modem/Router.
Is there some setting, or sequence that needs to be done?
The Problem, I cannot get my N1 Router to connect. DHCP is not working.
So far I can only connect 1 computer to the internet. My router will show internet connected for a minute, then no modem detected. It is connected to the Yellow Modem RJ45.
If i connect it to a regualr router port, only my main PC is connected to the internet.
So it is not routing.
My router is a Belkin N1 Vision 1Gbps Wired, and Wireless
Thanks...
Just a note:
Make sure your Router has a 1000Mbs (WAN Port) as well as 1000Mbps (LAN ports)

I now at least have internet finally, But now only getting 83Mbps (83 Megabits Per Second).
If I connect the CM1000 directly to my PC I get what I'm supposed to 360Mbps (360 Megabits Per Second)
So after restarting the modem, and router several times in this order as I've done it literally thousands of times over the years. Unplug everything. Turn on Modem, wait a few minutes untill all is lights are on. turn on Router.
All equipment, and devices are working, but the speeds are way to slow.
Any Ideas... Thanks...

Well, I'm gonna go ahead and say I jumped the gun by posting here.
The problem is in my opinion that even though the belking N1 Vision router is a Gigabit router,
the modem input is limited 100Mbps which is actually 83 Megabits Per Second. POS
I tried plugging the modem directly to a router port, but no go. My old DOCSIS2.0 allowed me to do that back in the day.
but I it will not work for some reason. I may keep trying.
Why will this modem not just plug into a router RJ45, and router do the DHCP.
Man I hate upgrades, its costing a fortune. I now need a Gigabit Wired Router that is compatible with the CM1000
