Compatibility between Netgear XAV1301 CPL 200 Mini and PL1000-100PES

Hi.

I have a PLC network using some XAV1301 CPL200mini but I'd like to extend it using another CPL (I've been looking PL1000-100PES and PL1200).

I'd like to use the faster one with the main router and the other CPL with some Pcs.

Are those models compatible?

If not, What CPL may I use?

(I can't use wifi extenders because of my home distribution)

Thanks

  • Most recent Powerline devices follow the AV standard, which means that you can mix different makes and different generations. The only issue if that if you add "1000" plugs to a network with "500" plugs they will talk to each other at the speed of the slowest plugs on the network. In your case 200 Mbps.

Remember, you need only one "source" plug connected to the router.

One other thing to consider, in theory you can mix brands but it isn't always easy to get set them up.
