Once the internet lands at your end, the technology that delivered it is irrelevant.
Fibre, cable DSL (bonded or otherwise), they all just create a local LAN. So you can add what you want to that.
It was suggested I use a Powerline 500 to move the signal up to the main floor. I tried this since I already own several plug in access points but they could not interpret the signal and would not connect. When I tried troubleshooting this issue, it appeared that they did not find the IP address.
Not sure that I understand that. Did you reset the Powerline plugs and start from scratch?
How do you know that they did not find the IP address?
