PL1200 locked at 10MPBS
Rather than revive an old thread, I thought it best to start a new one (old one was two years old) I bought 4 EOP devices all at the same time. They were all brand new, in a sealed box. There was...

So I took a few to another room and tried them there, still the same speed. I took them to where I was sure it was on a seperate run (circuit) and tested there, same.
How did you test these speeds?
Remember plugs usually come in pairs and you have to fiddle around a bit to get them all to work with a single router plug.

I can't see that this would affect speeds between the plugs, but you never know.

Thank you for the reply. As far as testing the speeds, I tried quite a few different methods, but my typical test was plugging my laptop directly into the 1200, and or 1010. I aslo used the Netgear Genie app which is actually fairly accurate with regards to speeds. Even in the genie app, the pl1010's show TX/RX sppeds at around 240 and right now, those are on opposite ends of the house. The 1200's are right now, literally 8 feet apart and they are at 10mbs.
So I've tried having the 1200's as the only EOP adapters in the network, I've tried moving the 1200's to the same plug the 1010's are functional. I've tried paring the 1200's first and then adding the 1010's, I've also tried pairing the 1010's and then adding the 1200's. I've included a screeen shot of my current configuration I took seconds ago to show that while the 1010's can communicate at 222Mbps, the traffic to or from the 1200's is always only 10Mbps. If I were to remove them all, reset them to factory, and plug just the 1200's back in, I would still only get 10mbps because I have tried that as well.
Security, no security, mixed, or just the 1200's, the will only give me 10mbps no matter what I seem to try.
Back in the olden days of the old token ring networks, I remember that there used to be either a jumper or a dipswitch that you had to move to change it from 4 to 16... I swear that is almost what this seems like. Like if I popped the case on there, I would find some dipswitch, set to 10mb, and if I flipped it, it would go to 100.. I know that this not the case but it's like that, or the 10/100 full/half duplex issue, but I woudn't know how to begin to make sure that the "port" on the adaptor is set properly.
I may actually take these devices over to a friends house just to make that one last check that it is not something specfic to this environment. Beyond that, I'm guessing I just got defective equipment.
Thank you again for the reply, I'll go through the setup from start to finish as you suggested one more time just to make sure I'm not missing something but for a "plug and play" solution, it's not that simple in this case it appears.
