Power line 1000 connectivity issues
Im using my power line 1000 to send an internet signal to my DVR for my security cameras. After a few hours the PL 1000 lose the internet connection. Im unable to look at my cameras via the internet. So what ive had to do is repair them and plug them in again... the connection comes back but never last more than a few hours. what are my options to fix this issue? Also the lights it has on right now are green green and red. The red being the connection speed. which is on the lower end. what should I do ?

It explains how one victim of similar symptoms fixed it by using another maker's powerline utility to disable sleep mode on their Netgear plugs.

Michael, THANK YOU!!! I apologize that I didn't find the post you pointed me to when I first searched the Community for a solution. After you pointed me in the right direction, I installed the ZYXEL's PLA5405 Utility. I ran the utility and was able to turn off standby mode in both adapters. I was able to use the MAC addresses to confirm that I was looking at the correct devices and had turned off standby mode in both of them. It has been only a few minutes since I ran the utility so it is to early to tell if standby mode was the problem; although that is the consensus at various websites. Now all I have to do is remember the utility's name if a power outage or unpluging them turns standby mode back on. :) Thanks again.

In my experience standby mode remains switched off, even after a power cut or you turn the adapter off
