Power line Light not appearing

Hi, I've been using the AC1900 Nighthawk router upstairs and i have the white adapter which I believe is the 6501 extender down stairs. The wifi extender is getting the WPS light and the wifi light but the power line light is not appearing. I tried one outlet the other day it worked. Then I decided to unplug the extender and put another extender. I reset the WPS thingy on the new extender and I was receiving connecting. The new extender was a lot worse than the 6501 extender so I wanted to re plug it back in. I plugged it back in and now there is no powerline LED. Which it was the only electrical outlet that worked down stairs . Every other outlet doesnt seem to connect with he Powerline led with the AC1900 Nighthawk router. I am not sure why it's not working but I have no connection down stairs currently. There is no led either on the nighthawk router as well

AC1900 is not a Netgear model number. It is a label that Netgear, and others, attach to their hardware to describe their wifi speeds.

You "believe" it is an XAV6501. If so, it will say so on the plug.

If it is an XAV6501 then there will be another Powerline plug connected to the router.

The XAV6501 is not an extender. Nor does it do wifi. So my guess is that you have something else.

Netgear has a range of routers with Powerline built in. The R7300DST router includes the DST6501 as its adapter. Is that the thing you own?

There is a manual for the R7300DST somewhere at the end of this link:
