Powerline AV200 Power LED always Bronze

Hello,

I just purchased 2 AV200 extenders to add to my already working Powerline network. When I plug in the extenders all LED'S light then the power LED immediately goes to amber (power saving mode). My software recognises both on the network. I did a factory reset to both AV200's and still only get amber LED.

I am kind of stumped on this one.

Thanks in advance for your response

    Hi spikerules,

    Welcome to Community!

The device will go to power saving mode with the following reaons:

    -The Ethernet cable is unplugged.

-The device connected through the Ethernet cable is turned off.

-The adapter is idle for 10 minutes.

Make sure than there is a computer or any device connected to the powerline during installation.

    Regards,

Thank you, so a ethernet cable must be attached at all times? It will not work by using just the WiFi connection?

        spikerules,

If the powerline adapter has wireless capability, the no need for ethernet cable. Just make sure that there is a wireless device active or connected to the network of the adapter. It will go to power saving mode once the adapter detects that there is no active connection for a longer time.
