A6210 Win8.1 Driver upgrade 1.0.0.32 youtube crashes internet
Just some information for people who may also be having this issue.
I have been using my A6210 wifi adapter for months now without problems on Windows 8.1. I had the 1.0.0.30 version installed in standalone mode (without Genie application).
Recently I got a popup that an update to 1.0.0.32 was available which I ran (which by the way installs the version with the Genie application without asking you). (Note that I still have Win8.1, didn't upgrade to Win10 yet so it isn't a Windows 10 issue like I saw in another topic.)
After that my internet started malfunctioning in a strange way:
When playing a youtube video it would stop playing after a short time and my internet connection on my pc would go down and reconnects automatically after a few seconds. As long as I don't play video's like on youtube or vimeo my internet keeps working fine. I thought it maybe was some kind of issue with a large network load, but I could also download large torrent at 3MB/s without any internet drops (3MB/s is about the highest I can get with my internet provider) so it seems to be some kind of issue with video play networking enhancements they did in version 1.0.0.32.
I uninstalled Genie and installed the 1.0.0.30 standalone driver again and I had no more issues.
The 1.0.0.32 release notes contain the cryptic message "Always set U2 mode in ETRON & ASMedia USB 3.0 Host control": FYI, I have my A6210 plugged in a standard USB 3.0 port and in device manager I only see an intel usb 3.0 extensible host controller and all my intel drivers are up to date. Motherboard is MSI H87-G41 PC Mate.

Hi Neverwinterx,
Welcome to Community!
The statement on the release notes under known issue is applicable for users who has Windows 10 OS. If you still have the Windows 8.1, you may disregard it. You can continue to use the current driver that you are using since you do not have any problems with it. If ever you want to use the new driver, try to install it manually instead of doing it automactically.
