ac1200 a6210 windows 10 adhoc hotspot fail

I am trying to create a hotspot on windows 10.

I am failing to create a hotspot on windows 10.

Server: PC, win10 A6210 card
Client Any android device, Nexus 6

Either the client device never gets an IP address or it connects, no internet.

I have tried with 3 different 3rd party "wifi routers"
I have tried with CMD commands. "netsh wlan start hostednetwork, etc..."

HELP ME please!

  • What I am able to do is create hotspot inside VM Virtualbox of Windows 10 1511.

Netgear drivers are a no go for hotspot, but windows driver works.

Tired of waiting for updates that don't work anyway.

I think TEN (10) MONTHS was a reasonable time to wait for a fix, RIGHT?

Never AGAIN will I BUY NETGEAR.

I purchased an ASUS USB AC53 nano.

        (realtek chipset)

WORKS PERFECTLY, all windows versions, all modes!

        $40USD

  • I was thinking of buying Asus AC53, does it work on the latest windows 10 builds?
