Adapter A6100 not functioning

Well I spent a good bit of time typing the problem oput and it got erased before I could post it which added to my frustration, . Operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate, AMD AthlonII x4 645 processor with 8 gigs of ram. I tried for hours to get the A6100 installed using all fourdriver updates both Genie and standalones and none would complete the install:the lrepeated message was to plug in the adapterwhich I did to no avail.
