I recently upgraded ISP to 400mbps, but my router speed tests only gets to 200 mbps AC1750 R6400v2
I upgraded my ISP from 200 mbps to 400 mbps but noticed no change in speed. I had my ISP provider come change out my modem and wiring to the house and the speed gets 400mbps to the modem, just not from the router, it remains about 200 mbps. How can I increase the speed of my router to get the 400mbps speed?
I appreciate the help.

I had the same router and i was getting similar speeds I downgraded the firmware to 1.0.2.52_1.0.39
all the firmwares are found here https://www.netgear.com/support/product/r6400v2.aspx#download
I updated to Gigabit service and the routers wifi Download speeds improved to 320 Mbps on 5G after doing the downgrade in the firmware. Wasnt enough for me so I purchased the RAX50 and my numbers more acurately reflect my speeds but give the firmware a try 320 of 400 wouldnt be too much of a loss...

1. Make sure with the R6400 that qos, access control, traffic monitoring, and parental controls are all disabled and then reboot the device.
2. you might need to factory reset if you had those settings enabled but try the disable and reset first
3. you won't max out 400mbps over wireless with that device. Its a base model gigabit device. You should be able to max out the 400mbps if you're hardwired into it.
4.You don't put how you're testing, what you're testing on, etc so its tough to tell exactly what testing procudures you're using.

Try it and see how it works.
next time you do have an issue, the forum for your device is this one:https://community.netgear.com/t5/General-WiFi-Routers-Non/bd-p/home-wifi-routers-general
Not a big deal but you'd get more help than the forum for "wifi adapters" :)
