NetGear wnda 3100v2 connections issues since Windows 10

Ever since I downloaded Windows 10, my wnda 3100v2 adapter loses connection randomly.  I have download the latest firmware and it has not solved the problem.  When the connection goes out, the adapter finds no connections available and the only way I can get a connection again is by removing the adapter and plugging it back in.

I know the latest firmware states it is Windows 10 compatible but I never had a problem with this adapter when I had Windows 7.

Any help would be appreicated.

Thanks

    Hi Mkveli2pac,

    Welcome to Community!

Have you tried installing the standalone driver instead of the driver with the Genie?

I have the same adapter and the same problems.

The standalone driver has a higher (later) version, but in my case just makes the problem worse.

It is listed as 2.2.06 not 2.2.05 which is kinda weird, as it is a Zip for 2.2.0.5?

Please just to satisfy my curiosity, can you start up a DOS session.

Right click <Start> and choose command prompt (admin).

Then type "netcfg -s n" and under the Network Adapters copy and paste the info here.

It will probably, on a good system be 2 or 3 items/lines.

Should take about 1 minute tops.

        Thanks

  • JamesGL, thanks for the welcome and yes I did download the stand alone driver and my results are the same.

BaJohn I will try that when I get home tonight and let you know. Thanks guys.
  • Well, that escalated quickly.  Shortly after I made the post that I thought my problem was solved by JamesGL, guess what happened?  Yep, lost connection yet again.  Back to square one.
