WN111v2 Usb adapter | Windows 7 pro problems

Hello my name is Ashwin. I have had a WN111v2 for a long time and it has served me faithfully. Unfortunatly when I was running a deepscan to find viruses my father walked into the room and hit the master power button on my power strip, which cut off all power to my computer. This damaged some of my program files so next morning I turned it on and let it go into startup repair, unfortunatly Microsoft pegged me with the accusation of having counterfeit software even though I have bought it legally. Worst of all, my WN111v2 wont connect to the internet, it just keeps "Identifying" the network and won't ever connect.

PLEASE HELP!!!

  • Hi Ashwin5171,

    Welcome to Community!

I would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the adapter. You can go to support.netgear.com for the driver of the your adapter.

        Ashwin5171,

You may try to install it on a different computer to isolate if the problem is with the adapter.
