WNA1100 N150 disconnect at random interval

My WNA1100 USB adapter disconnect at random -- sometimes every few minutes and sometimes, say, once a day. I am using this on Windows 7 Desktop PC and have the latest software for this device. The problem is solved temporarily with (1) disconnect and reconnect the device from USB port, OR (2) in Windows Device Manager, disable and then re-enable this device. Sometimes this 'disconnection' occurs every few minutes and sometimes the device would work find for full day. I have tried using this device on different USB slots and two different PCs with same result. Is there a solution or workaround to this erratic behavious?

    Please follow the steps below: 

    - Open Device Manager > Network Adapters

    - Select NETGEAR WNA1100 

    - Right-click then select Properties

    - Under Power Management Tab, disable "Allow the Computer to turn off this device..."

     

    Here is the link for the latest driver WNA1100 Software Version 2.2.0.1

    Please follow the steps below: 

    - Open Device Manager > Network Adapters

    - Select NETGEAR WNA1100 

    - Right-click then select Properties

    - Under Power Management Tab, disable "Allow the Computer to turn off this device..."

        Hi Blanca_O,

         

        It appears that after following the steps suggested by you, i.e. after disabling "Allow the Computer to turn off this device..." in Properties dialogue box of my Netgear WNA1100 Network Adapter, the problem of disconnection is solved. In the past 2-3 days I have not experienced disconnection of the adapter.
