Arlo basestation disables 2.4ghz band on ex8000 as access point

Somewhat weird but worth mentioning. On 2 different routers the Arlo basestation 4500 did not function when then 2.4ghz was disabled on the routers. When connected on my netgear ex8000 (as accesspoint) with 2.4ghz enabled , it disabled the 2.4ghz band.

Hi Harry63, what is the firmware version of the EX8000? Does the issue persist if you have the base station wired to the main router? Also, have you tried setting up the EX8000 in extender mode?

      Hello Dexter,

      Here are my specifications:

      Router EX8000, Firmwareversion: V1.0.1.206
      Arlo Basestaion VMB4500r2, firmware 1.15.01_3092_d878851

I have not tested in Extender mode, this is not an issue for me.

      Regards,

      Harry

Hi Harry, the EX8000 is an extender and not a router.
