AX1800 (EAX20)'s 5GHz does not work for Ethernet nor Mobile.

As one can see, I have set the ethernet to 2.4GHz. If I set this setting to 5GHz however, the computer that is connected to the Extender via Lan-cable just ceases to connect to the Internet. Changing this Setting doesn't affect my Mobile phone, which CAN connect to 5GHz, but doesn't get any Internet from it, unlike the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. This also affects Smart Connect and Fastlane. Yes. I have reset the Extender. I have powercycled all devices at least twice, yes, I've updated the firmware. Please help.

  • Did you set it up using the push button WPS option?

If so, factory reset the extender  and set it up using the installation assistant.

To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.

Here's a video of how to use the assistant.

Try that option. I've seen wps coded poorly and cause issues.

Why not set the ethernet to the 5ghz? it shouldn't impact the 5ghz performance and merely specificizes which band to use for the ethernet. 5ghz is much faster and less sensitive to interference

That's the thing! It doesn't work! It won't work when I set it to 5GHz.

Not rn. Not home. But everything's fine according to the status pave. It's just that 5ghz doesn't offer any internet ( I can still connect )
