Can not extend my new AC-router

Hello guys!

I just bought a new AC-router, tp-link Archer C9.

Before I got a router from Technicolor.

I used to extend my wifi with a netgear wn3000rp.

But wiyh my new router the extender do not mangae to connect.

I have tried both with the wps-buttons and manually. Manually the extender detect the 2.4-band but at the last step the extender says I should move it closer to the router. (But I'm right now trying to with a distance of half a meter).

Do you guys got any clues?

Btw the extender works fine with the Technicolor router.

Best regards

Fredrik

    Hello fredand

You will need to factory reset the extender by holding the reset button for 10 seconds then you should be able to do the setup again.

Hello Darren, thanks for your answer. I tried what you said, twice acctually, but it is still the same. The extender has no problem to connect and extend my old router. But it can not stay connected and extend my new router.
      All suggestions are welcome.
      Best regards

What security settings are you using? You device maybe older and not support the new encryption.
